2023 Nissan Rogue Maintenance Schedule
Sticking to a regular maintenance schedule is one of the most effective ways to keep your Rogue on the road for longer. It also helps ensure that this popular two-row Nissan crossover continues to perform to a high standard. The frequency of your maintenance appointments will depend on how much driving you do and what you use your SUV for, but there are some general rules you should follow. Our team of Nissan service experts here at Nucar Nissan of North Attleboro put together the following Rogue maintenance guide.

How Often Should You Service Your Nissan Rogue?
As a general rule, your Rogue should be serviced every 5,000 miles of driving or after six months, whichever comes first. An average amount of driving for one year is about 12,000 miles, so you’ll likely need to visit our Nissan dealership slightly more than twice a year for your vehicle servicing needs.
At every 5,000-mile service appointment, we’ll change your engine oil and filter. This is a critical part of vehicle maintenance because it ensures that your engine’s components continue to get the lubrication required to run smoothly. We’ll also rotate your tires, which helps prevent uneven wear, and top-up the pressure if needed. Finally, we’ll inspect your brake pads and rotors, exhaust, steering, and suspension to ensure everything is in good working order.
Getting your Rogue serviced every 5,000 miles isn’t only beneficial for you in the here and now. If you decide to sell your vehicle in the coming years, you’re likely to get a better price if you can show that it’s been well-maintained. Your vehicle may even qualify for Nissan’s certified pre-owned program, which could help you get an even higher price.
10,000-Mile Service
Your 10,000-mile service will take place after approximately one year. In addition to the tasks performed at every service appointment, including oil changes and tire rotations, we’ll inspect the oil in your Rogue’s continuously variable transmission (CVT). Other essential tasks include inspecting transfer fluid, transfer case oil, differential gear oil, and brake lines.
15,000-Mile Service
After 15,000 miles of driving, it’s time to replace your Rogue’s air cabin filter and I-Key battery. We’ll also change your engine oil and filter. We’ll rotate your tires, check the pressure, and adjust it if necessary.
20,000-Mile Service
After two years or 20,000 miles, your brake fluid needs replacing. This is a critical task since old brake fluid can get contaminated and reduce the performance of your brakes. We’ll also complete another engine oil change and tire rotation. The inspection list gets a little longer at this point, with your fuel lines and connections being examined alongside everything we checked at your 10,000-mile inspection.
30,000-Mile Service
After 30,000 miles, typically reached after two-and-a-half years, we’ll replace your Rogue’s CVT oil and perform the usual oil change and tire rotation. This is also the service appointment where we’ll change your car’s air filter. A careful inspection of your brake pads and rotors, brake lines, exhaust system, transmission, suspension, axles, and steering system will also be conducted.
40,000-Mile Service
When you stop by for your 40,000-mile servicing, we’ll change your brake fluid, engine oil, and rotate your tires. We’ll conduct another round of inspections to make sure there aren’t any problems developing with your components that require preventive maintenance. These inspections will cover your fuel lines and tank, brakes, steering, suspension, and exhaust.
Servicing From 50,000 Miles and Beyond
At the 50,000-mile mark, it’s time to replace your cabin air filter again. In addition to taking care of your engine oil and tires, we’ll inspect your engine’s drive belt. We’ll also perform the same routine inspections we’ve done at previous service appointments.
Your 60,000-mile service is when we’ll start looking at your spark plugs. If they need replacing, we’ll do that. Your tires will be rotated, and the pressure checked. Tires typically need replacing after approximately 70,000 miles of driving, so we’ll take a closer look at your tire tread to ensure you’re still safe to drive on them.
If your spark plugs still haven’t been replaced by the 105,000-mile service, we’ll replace them at this stage.
Replacing Nissan Rogue Parts
Regular inspections following the schedule outlined above are necessary because they allow our Nissan service team to identify problems with your crossover before they get serious and take action to stop them from getting worse. Common parts needing replacing during your service appointments include brake pads after two to three years, battery after three to four years, and tires after five or six years. These timeframes are only meant to be rough guides since your driving habits and other factors can influence the lifespan of various auto parts.
When you stop by our Nissan service center in North Attleboro, you can be confident that any components we change will be replaced with high-quality original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts. Our service technicians work closely with our parts department, which is well-stocked with auto parts designed and approved by Nissan. OEM parts have the advantage over aftermarket parts of being designed specifically with the Rogue in mind, which helps them fit and perform better.
